Dr. Gabriela Nordeman
Dr. Nordeman is a Psychologist with specialization in neuropsychology.
Therapy
Her expertise lies in working with couples who are uncertain about how they should or whether they should change the patterns in which they find themselves. She takes from various theoretical orientations with particular focus on Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and aspects of Psychodynamic theory. Identifying the meaning, intention, and impact of what occurs in the couple (and in the individual) is fundamental in the work. She takes a collaborative and directive approach to find and understand maladaptive patterns. She guides couples in creating and restoring healthy, adaptive interactions while strengthening feelings of connection and security between partners. She also works with individuals and families on a case by case basis.
Assessment
She is trained in assessment and treatment of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and is a certified brain injury specialist (CBIS). She has also dedicated much of her work to patients with dementing diseases (e.g. Alzheimer’s Disease), and movement disorders (e.g. Parkinson’s Disease).

Experience
Dr. Nordeman completed her doctorate at the University of Denver, Residency at NYU Langone Health, and Post-doctoral Fellowship in Neuropsychology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. She has also worked in the VA system, Craig Hospital in Denver, and teamed with numerous clinics that serve the monolingual Spanish and bilingual population.
